Studer A80 MKIV 1/2" 4-Track Tape Machine

Restored early 80's Studer A80 MKIV 1/2" 4 track tape recorder. All transport control, audio cards and the huge power supply electrolytics have been replaced with high quality, low noise nichicon and panasonics. There isn't an electrolytic cap over a year old on this machine. Shows very low use with only 578 hours. The heads are in fantastic condition. It is calibrated for Agfa PEM 469 and this auction includes 6 NOS 2500ft pancakes and 4-1/2" reels. Record over this tape as many times as you want, it will not shed. Transport tensions are calibrated. It holds calibration like a dream. The pinch roller is in great condition. This is a Studer that is ready to go into operation. The hard work has been done for you. Use it to bounce stems to or track and bounce to digital for editing. Drums have never sounded better. One issue: a client bumped one of the takeup spools with a bass and its a bit wobbly. This does not affect functionality but is worth mentioning. It would be a simple repair that I never got around to. See youtube video for wobbly spool in action.
