The Electro Harmonix East River Drive is a great way to beef up your guitar tone. This overdrive pedal has some pretty bold tones. It also has some pretty bold New York City graphics to match.

Electro Harmonix East River Drive built into a Nano enclosure

As with the bulk of EHX pedals these days it has been fitted into a Nano enclosure. This has a distinct advantage over the larger stompboxes. The Electro Harmonix East River Drive will take up much less space on your pedal board. This overdrive pedal will be lighter as well. Operationally it has three separate control knobs. These are Volume, Tone and Drive. It is also true bypass. What this means is that when you switch the pedal off, it stays off. Your guitar signal isn't effected by noise and interference from the Electro Harmonix East River Drive.

Versatile Overdrive Pedal

This is a pretty versatile overdrive pedal. It can work in conjunction with your guitar amp in a couple of different ways. If you want to add some overdrive to a clean sound the Electro Harmonix should fit the bill. This can range from light crunch to a chunkier distortion. It can also be used to add some extra sauce to an already over-driven amplifier. Again, depending on what you are wanting to achieve it could be great for lead tones. You can balance and adjust using the volume and tone controls. The sound of the Electro Harmonix East River Drive has plenty of edge and bite. It is an overdrive pedal that will easily slice through the mix.

The Electro Harmonix East River Drive is a versatile stomp box. It is also a great overdrive pedal at a very reasonable price. Excellent value for money.
