Exquisite recreation of Johnny Winter's Firebird that made Firebird's famous (at least for me!) Some of Tom Murphy's best work in my opinion and not just another Murphy Les Paul. Johnny's guitar gave Tom a bullseye and he fully hit the mark. Gibson's Limited Edition Johnny Winter Firebird V is a part of Gibson's "Inspired By Series," paying its tribute to one of the meanest and most spellbinding slide guitarists to ever grace a stage. For years, Winter relied on just one guitar - his Gibson Firbird V. This particular Limited Edition Johnny Winter Firebird V is a painstaking recreation of Winter's own - and the attention to detail pays off in the end result. Not just great-looking, this instrument has a lot of character - complete with a vintage sunburst finish, ABR-1 Bridge and heavy stop-bar tailpiece and signature Banjo tuners. Only 100 of these great axes were made. This one has a very low number. Originally obtained this from Chicago Music Exchange and it has been in humidity and temperature controlled storage ever since. Comes with some fantastic extra's (one Signed professional pic of Johnny playing the inspiration for this guitar and a signed older Promotional poster with the meet and greet invite from where it was signed, Promotional pic and a saints and sinners paper advert.)
