The Rattle Can is an undercover shaker. Steel shot inside these recycled cans make a shaker that you won't find anywhere else, and we're making them in 2 flavors.
"Hoppy" and "Smooth" are the same fill as our Beercan shakers, just with a little more volume and fill:
The "hoppy" flavor has a crisp tone, with medium attack and volume. It's on the louder side of the 30 shakers we tested at the drum shop, with a rich metallic sound and good control. It's our favorite, but don't tell the others.
The "smooth" flavor is much quieter than the "hoppy", and more suited for small venues. A great tool to have in your arsenal. This is on the softer side, but with the same metallic flavor. Similar fill to the ever-popular egg shaker. I've heard from lots of people that this is their favorite of the two, so it seems like an even split.
If you don't recognize the paint brands in the picture, you aren't alone. Paints like Montana, the other Montana, Ironlak, Bombing Science, and Fresh Paint aren't your Home Depot brands. They are quality paints made specifically for artists, and these cans have been recycled from artist workshops, including our own.
Some cans are cleaner than others, that's part of the fun
Think this was a weird idea? Curious how they sound? Okay, that's fair. Check out the video.
HEY! Puncturing paint cans is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and a REALLY STUPID idea that we've gone to great lengths to contain and control. We would advise against it. This is a disclaimer, kinda.
