This HSS set was never officially released to the public (not sure if it ever will be), but was made specifically for a guitarist of a well known European band who’s a metal/shred player at heart, but needed something more well rounded and versatile
From what I understand, it was meant to make his Floyd Rose equipped guitar sound more musical. It can work great though in any type of HSS guitar, doesn’t matter if it has a Floyd Rose or not
It’s very versatile. It’s kinda modern and vintage sounding at the same time. It has some of that modern punch, focus and responsiveness yet also has that vintage warmth, nuance and more organic quality that all Tone Specific pickups tend to have.
Most of his pickups are modeled after certain vintage pickups like a Filtertron, ‘59 PAF, ‘51 Esquire, etc, but this one is more of its own thing, not really based off any particular pickup that came before it from what I understand
