I love this guitar, but have moved on to other instruments and it never gets played so I'd like to sell it to someone who will use it and appreciate it. This is stunningly good-looking guitar that plays and sounds great! The Guild X-170 Manhattan was introduced in 1988 and was made until 2002. It is a highly versatile guitar with rich, professional tone quality and excellent workmanship. It has a maple body. Its graceful design makes it easy to hold and to play. The Manhattan features a stunning harp tailpiece and matching gold hardware.
I bought this particular guitar in about 1998 in Dallas, TX ( sorry, I don't have the original receipt). I have been the only owner since then and have cared for it well but it has never left my house or been played at a gig or anywhere but here at home. After I bought it I didn't have the opportunity to play it much because I got busy with kids and a carreer, so it hasn't been played much at all. It comes with the original hard shell case.
Please look at the pics; you'll see there are little to no signs of wear. All hardware and electronics are original. The case is original as well and is in good shape.
To my knowledge, there is nothing wrong with this guitar. The action is low and it plays effortlessly. The frets have plenty of life left on them. It sounds amazing and all knobs, pickups and switches work perfectly.
