This Akai AX80 synth was used by Steppenwolf’s founding member Goldy McJohn and this was his touring synth. It was Akai's first commercial analogue synth produced. There is a key that was broken and then also repaired by Goldy. I was going to have this repaired but a couple of associates said some folks may be more interested in it the way that it is since Goldie had broken it and repaired it while on tour and continue to use it so it will be up to the buyer to replace the key or not
The Case does not have a handle, but it does come with a case ;) This piece should be in a Rock & Roll museum. This is a very interesting piece with many a story to tell. There is also a 4 foot long autograph of Goldy that's located on the bottom of the case. Instrument in case and is in good used condition. Everything in photos included. There are other accessories and effects that you can buy for this but the only things that are included as far as in the photograph do you know powers on but I am not a keyboard player and do not know how to operate this so I am selling it as is with no returns based on performance I can tell you that the synthesizer worked fine the last time it was used by goalie which is the last time it was actually used it has not been played since then Please contact me for any out of country orders.
