This cymbal is brand new with a full warranty and has never been removed from its original packaging.

The 18" Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Thin Crash has an especially intriguing sound that has a wide spectrum ranging from low to high frequencies. The raw, untreated surface gives this cymbal a very quick musical accent with little sustain. Extra Dry cymbals have big hammer marks which in combination with the untreated, natural finish enable an extremely dark sound with a short sustain, giving the cymbal dominant lows with an esoteric character.

Their hand hammered and lathed surfaces with warm sounds and selection of models may be rooted in tradition, but MEINL Byzance cymbals are the ultimate choice when it comes to modern versatility. Every Byzance model is hand hammered into shape by cymbal artisans in Turkey from B20 bronze alloy, giving each cymbal its own unique and colorful voice.

• Byzance Extra Dry cymbals are hand hammered into shape by Meinl cymbal artisans in Turkey using B20 bronze alloy

• The top of the cymbal is completely unfinished with extensive hammering to achieve an earthy, extra dry response along with a shorter trashy sustain

• A lathed bottom allows the cymbal to open up for a responsive and well balanced wash that blends well with any other cymbal

• Great for adding a contrasting crash sound that works well as an accent cymbal, or dig in for trashy riding effects

• OFFICIAL TWO YEAR MEINL WARRANTY:  World Musical Instruments is an authorized Meinl retailer.
