This is a beautiful 1991 Martin JC-40 acoustic cutaway guitar in near mint original condition with hard case.
The JC-40 is designed with a solid spruce top, select Indian rosewood back and sides, and a hand carved, low profile adjustable mahogany neck. The fingerboard is made of ebony as is the bridge which has 2 5/16" spacing. Internal scalloped top bracing and a distinctive body style that is a combination of Martins Grand Auditorium shape and Dreadnaught depth are keys to this models powerful sound. It comes with a natural gloss finish and Schaller gold-plated tuning machines.
This guitar is in near mint condition. It has a 1 11/16" nut width and 3/32" string height at the 12th fret. The neck profile is .83" at the first fret and 1.02 at the 12th fret. Set up with Martin SP Lights it plays perfectly.
A real nice model from Martin. I don't believe they made many of these J-40s with the cutaway.
It comes with the "Care and Feeding" Booklet and a Martin pamphlet describing the model and a hard shell Martin case.
