This is a long-neck Bacon "Folk Model" made by Gretsch in the 1960s (serial #52866). 25 frets and a 31 5/8 inch scale. Overall length is 42 1/2 inches; the head is 11 inch diameter and body is 2 1/2 inches deep. Fitted with "spikes" for capoing the 5th string at the 10th through 12th frets. The body is three-ply hard maple and it is finished on the outside with black plastic laminate. The tone is rich, bright and loud. The peghead overlay is the same black plastic laminate, with Bacon carved into it. There is a silver plaque on the peghead that reads "BACON Folk Model." The inside of the body is finished with the natural maple, lacquered. The bracket band is a heavy notched style and has 24 tension brackets with shoe style brackets. All metal plating is in excellent condition. The neck is dark sunburst and is straight as an arrow. Overall, the condition is excellent.

Banjo plays & sounds great & one Pete would be proud of.

No case included.
