Up for sale is a 1971 Marshall 1960 A cabinet. Loaded with an original matched set of 25 watt G12M T1221 Rola Celestion Greenback speakers with 75hz Pulsonic 102 03 cones, date code HD. The wiring and solder joints are all original in this cab, never touched or repaired in any way. These are all original Pulsonic cones as well, which makes them extremely collectible and the sound is simply impossible to get with modern greenbacks...what are Pulsonic cones?? From Bygone tones: "The pulsonic cones first appear around mid 1962, most notably on the T530 “vox blue“. They are easily the most sought after cones by guitarists because they have a superior quality to their tone that cannot be found in any other speaker cone. Their slightly softer and more ‘fluid’ sound is particularly popular with blues and classic rock guitarists. Pulsonic cones are highly collectable due to their association with the legendary guitar players of the period such as Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles, and their use in the old 60’s Marshall and Vox amplifiers. Legend has it that a fire at the Pulsonic factory in late 73 destroyed the magic formula for making those sweet sounding cones. Nobody has successfully managed to replicate them, though several boutique brands have tried, as well as Celestion themselves with their Heritage greenback range." The speakers in this cab have no tears, holes or issues whatsoever. No cone cry, buzzing or weird noises. Grill cloth, emblem, STEEL handles and tolex are all original. Yes steel handles, original and riveted. Some of the paint on the handles is chipping and they have some surface rust. Casters are original heavy duty Homa brand casters, you can't beat the quality and durability of these. Original dark gold paint too! Tolex has some small tears and dings mainly on bottom and back, nothing major at all. The grill cloth also has a few small snag marks but no holes. This is the real deal, one of the last of the best years of Marshall cabinets. In great condition, you don't often see them in this good of shape. I HAVE MORE PICTURES!!! ASK FOR THEM!!
