Yamaha Dynamic Guitar No.1 Model - 1959 Vintage - Classical/Folk Guitar - Rare

These Dynamic guitars were some of the first Yamaha guitars, built in late 1950s- mid 1960s. They developed and patented a new soundboard (top) design, engineered for much greater sound projection for fullness and volume. They had designed in extra strength so either nylon or steel strings could be used without over-straining the instrument. It was a new radial bracing ribs pattern outwards from tailpiece area - unlike standard fan or H patterns commonly used. The Dynamics were not exported but made for the strong Japanese guitar market. And they were built to their new standard design by independent Japanese luthiers. This was before they had factories. They used their advanced knowledge to build the world famous Yamaha folk guitars and beyond - very popular in US.
This is a No.1 model and I am not sure if that is because it was first model produced. From what I could find on internet it was made in 1959. I got it from a seller in Japan. These were very well made using high quality materials. Sound is loud and good. This one has the 1 3/4" +/- nut width and zero fret with a 25 1/2" scale length (typical of a folk guitar neck) and it is flat, not arched.(The other example of these I have has the full 2" nut, typical of the classical guitars. I need that for my fingers size. ) 
This is the condition it arrived in except for the new set of strings. The wood bridge usually has a thin plastic dowel in the slot. If it is missing the ridge of the hard tailpiece make a perfect alternative. It has a solid, quarter-sawn spruce top with solid hardwood sides and back., is all original and looks to have been well cared for. There are nicks, scratches and marks throughout from normal age and use but no structure damage. There is normal lacquer checking on and near neck/body joint - due to temperature and humidity variations.
These No.1s are quite rare and I have priced it for what I paid, and that is lower than most others I've seen for sale.
This comes with a semi rigid, plush lined case fit for the guitar - probably original. Still good shape and could use some cleaning. The end latch needs to be replaced.
