About This Listing
This was bought direct from the Keeley factory the day they were released. There were about nine different graphics as I recall, and you couldn’t choose. I was happy to get what I thought the best looking one was. It’s signed by Robert Keeley, which is pretty cool as he seems like a legit guy. I’m pretty sure he just signed the first batch as I’ve seen lots that aren’t signed. In fact, I just looked at a dozen or more listings on reverb and can’t find another one, most don’t even show a picture of the bottom. That’s why I have it priced a little more than new one. Maybe it’s worth more and you can rip me off, ha.
I later got a limited edition white one with a germanium fuzz. I’m selling off all but a few pedals as I just got an Axe, and the LE version made the cut. But good news is y’all have an opportunity to get a mint condition Monterey. This is one of my favorite pedals ever since it’s so versatile, looks so good, and give a great Jimi vibe 🤘🏻🎸
The Monterey Rotary Fuzz Vibe from Keeley is a multi-effect pedal meant to capture the classic sounds of the '60s, and the tones of Jimi Hendrix in particular. This pedal combines a vintage-tinged octave fuzz circuit with a rotary speaker emulator and vibrato. The result is a pedal that can achieve all-time classic guitar tones, yet is versatile enough to create something entirely new.
