This Charvel 550M is a great sounding guitar. Made in 1990 to 1995 (serial numbers unreliable) we have included the page from a catalogue from that time that shows this guitar.
It has Mahogany back and side, rosewood fingerboard and rosewood bridge as well. Sitka Spruce top , Chrome Diecast tuners and 1/11/16 nut, and internal Sitka spruce bracing are all high quality parts of a quality build.
This guitar sounds fabulous and is a collector item of sorts. The Charvel name is a famous name and this guitar carries it well!
It has the distinctive sound of Mahogany and Rosewood and sounds like a Vintage acoustic. To me it has a very rich and full sound with it's slightly heavier than normal body it brings out the low end. Playability is high, neck is straight and true. Has a few minor dings but is in remarkably fantastic condition. Very attractive guitar.
Also comes with a really nice big heavy duty case. though the zipper may need to be realigned the case still works and partially zips with nice velcro it feels solid when closed.
