Super-rare 1967 Mosrite Mark V NON-Ventures model. Only a handful of these guitars were made after the Ventures/Mosrite split. Mosrite declared bankruptcy shortly after the spilt and production was very limited at this point. This particular guitar has the distinction of being the very last one made with the amoeba-shaped neck plate, according to serial number. Also quite incredible is the finish. It was very popular on the earlier models like the original Mark I Ventures, but I’ve never seen another candy apple red non-ventures Mark V. It is very possible that this is the only one ever made. The guitar is all 100% original. The body features the delicious German-carves and the paint really compliments the shape like nothing else. The paint is very nice with some weather checking on the front and back and it shines glossy with a deep appearance, see photos The neck joint area is solid and there are no issues whatsoever. The neck is straight and the back feels nice and smooth with the slender low-profile these are known for. The tuners all work perfectly with no issues. The neck is straight and has its original metal nut. The frets are the surf-music friendly original low level units that all mosrites used. They are in good condition. The fingerboard is in great condition as well. Guitar has a very low action up to the 7th fret with a nice, gradual relief afterwards. The pickups both work perfectly and sound amazing. Hard to describe until you’ve played one-but to time they have a wide range with defined treble response and a super-smooth bite. Pickguard has no cracks and the knobs, potentiometers and switch are all obviously original. The bridge and tailpiece show a light patina. Guitar is super comfortable with the offset body and sits nicely in a strap or in your lap. Playability-wise; it feels well-constructed and solid and the neck has no drag. It’s relatively lightweight-at 7.92 lbs so it won’t fatigue you at all and it’s easy to handle. The guitar plays super easy and very fast. The original, early style grey case is included.

This is a great guitar for the collection. No one will mistake this one for a reissue or anything like that. It has the sound and looks beautiful.
Just look at it.
