The quilted Olympic Peninsula maple top cut back to show Alaska yellow cedar chambered body wood, the Mexican rosewood fretboard with stainless steel frets, the fact that it’s a twelve string on a Gibson scale neck all start the celebration. Because twelve strings require a bit wider fretboard, this granadilla fretboard is 46 mm (1 13/16”) wide with a 12” radius and a bone nut, and I carved a Clapton-style soft V profile. A heavy duty fully adjustable Japanese Gotoh bridge guarantees accurate intonation and action. Alnico 5 flat profile pickups are wired to a Baggs Control-X preamp and under bridge piezo; piezo can be blended with the magnetic pickups or isolated for acoustic sound. Some of my usual upgrades include Planet Waves elliptical strap pins to better secure the strap pins. Guaranteed satisfaction and shipped free and insured in a new case.
