You are looking at a rare piece of PRS history right here. This is a 1988 Paul Reed Smith Studio 24 with the unbelievably rare red multifoil finish. These are crazy awesome, supposedly there were only 48 of these instruments made, with 12 in each of the 4 colors. The finish is extremely delicate and tends to lift and flake with time, but this is a remarkable good example. As you already know, PRS guitars are known for their craftsmanship worldwide, and this is one of the finest examples I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Built in 1988, when some of their best builds were coming out, this guitars sports a 24 fret Brazilian rosewood board with moon inlays, HSS setup with master volume, tone, and 5 way rotary switch, crazy rare "Trem-Up" factory tremolo route, red multifoil finish covering the entire instrument, and some tools and paperwork. Also includes the original PRS hardcase, though unfortunately of the latches is broken. Considering how fragile the finish, this guitar is in great shape with the chipping and flaking you'd expect. The larger chip is the largest sign of unnatural wear. This is an incredible guitar and a truly stunning piece of what of a top end guitar should play and sound like.
