This Cocoquantus has not been modified and has been handled very carefully. It is in exactly the same condition as it was when I bought it from Ciat-Lonbarde. The banana cables included are the same ones that I used with it and did not come from Ciat-Lonbarde.

As one can see in the photographs, the wood is coarse and the window in the center is rough and opaque. This is not from wear, but is exactly how it was sent to me straight from Ciat-Lonbarde, and is an intentional aesthetic choice.

This machine has five analog oscillators that are connected to one another and can each be modulated using sample-and-hold or frequency modulation. It also includes two loopers, one on each side of the central oscillators, which can receive audio from one of the two main audio inputs or from the audio inputs on the far left of the machine. One of these is a regular 3.5mm input and the other is a microphone input.

The modular capabilities of this instrument are considerably complicated and versatile. One can make interesting sounds using just the oscillators or just the loopers, as well as both of them in conjunction. It can even be used purely as a lo-fi effect as well. There are guides online (Muff Wiggler forum is a plentiful resource) as well as on Hainbach’s YouTube page.
