Pictures are of the actual kit you'll get.  Brand new Explorer guitar kit.  Generic brand, but in the style of Gibson.  It has a smooth finish.  The grain isn't perfect, so it would be best if you plan to paint it.  It is workable for a natural or stained finish though if you prefer that.  Comes well packaged and padded.  Mahogany body and neck.  Rosewood fingerboard..  Rosewood and frets look really nice.
