The BMF El Jefe is a
very organic sounding touch-responsive low to medium overdrive. There’s plenty
of crunch on tap, but it’s also capable of various shades of gain with the guitar’s
volume knob rolled back. It has great clarity and a thick low end for that
Black Crowes vibe. Controls are Volume, Tone, and Gain and it features true
bypass switching and a DC jack.
Marc Ford and Jeff Massey have been known to use the
El Jefe pedal in the past.
