I am selling my Stratorific and rare 1970 "Four bolts" Fender Stratocaster. VIDEO OF THIS VERY GUITAR AVAILABLE ON YouTube ... FOLLOW THE LINK DOWN BELOW.
This exemplar is in perfect playability condition. Gruhn Guitars in Nashville has totally restored this incredible instrument in October 2019. They have re-wounded the middle position pickup, re-fretted the fingerboard, fabricated and installed a new bone string nut. This guitar came from a professional player in New-York and is 200% ready to continue its carrier with an other passionate player. The previous owner found back in a drawer the 40 years old mint condition and unused case candy from this 1970 Stratocaster. It is unbelievable!!! the items are unused and the 1970 cloth is still in a sealed bag.
It comprises the original 1970 Fender strap untouched, the ashtray cover (in original polythene bag), the tremolo springs in a sealed envelope, the polishing cloth (sealed in original polythene bag), the very desirable and RARE Fender pearl gray guitar cable (untied) and the March 15, 1970 Fender price list Catalog Brochure... She is like a "Christmas Morning"...
From Gruhn Guitars: The pickups dates (31st week of the year 1970) and potentiometer manufacturing date codes (21st week of the year 1970) are also consistent with this guitar being originally assembled in the year 1970.
The fingerboard surface exhibits signifiant play wear, the pickguard is cracked at bass-side neck position pickup adjustment screw. The finish appears to be original and exhibits typical deterioration with lacquer checking, small dings, surface scratches, compression mark, edge-chipping and some areas of complete loss on the body front and back. In other respects, this instrument conforms to the typical specifications of the model for this period in which it was made with double cutaway alder body with three tone sunburst finish, 11 screw multi-ply beveled-edge white plastic pickguard, integral tremolo/bridge assembly with original tremolo arm, three single-coil pickups, three white plastic "skirt-style" control knobs, three position blade-type pickup selector switch with white plastic tip, maple neck with adjustable truss-rod, four bolt metal neck attachement plate with die-stamped serial number (2955466) and F-Logo, "large" peghead size, black "Fender" logo peghead decal, Fender "F" tuners with metal buttons, single elevated rectangular "butterfly" string tree, 21-fret Indian rosewood veneer fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, nickel-plated and chrome-plated metal hardware and other typical Stratocaster model appointments. The instrument is currently housed in the original hard-shell.
The guitar weigh 7.8 pounds.
