Bandmaster Artist Peashooter Trumpet 1933 - Buescher Art Stencil - No Case or MP M Bore: - Serial# 52**
Beautiful configuration of an early Buescher Art Peashooter. Horn has 95% plating and shows wear in the handhold area on on the second tuning slide. I could not get the HP/LP section of the tuning slide freed and did not remove solder or components. The A lock-out also does not catch, the slide moves through the lock component. Horn has the smallest bell I've seen on a trumpet at 3.75" and is bright and rich sounding. Valves move very nicely and compression is very good, however I do not have any pads thin enough to fit on the top valve caps under the buttons (and have no cutting tools for pads yet) and if I add a thicker pad under the button, the horn is out of alignment, so the valves tick when pressed all the way down. Lead-pipe has been removed in the past and the horn does not come with a case. The horn has issues, but plays very well and is playable with my 1920's Vega George short shank mouthpiece which I will part with for an additional $100, it is in excellent condition. Not playable with current 440 tuning ensembles.
UpYourBrass is a single tolerance shop, all my instruments are totally refurbished and detailed. All horns go through a stringent bench test, checked for leaks, loose solder joints and proper function. All easily accessible dents removed and repairs completed, valves are hand-lapped and aligned... all horns are de-greased, chem cleaned, and hot water rinsed and scrubbed.
My office and shop are in different locations and I inspect and prep all horns prior to shipping so my ship time can take up to 3 days from purchase date, please look at all photos carefully before you buy. Thank You
My instruments are reconditioned and Ready to Play!
