An exceptionally fine soloist violin thought to be by Andrea Castagneri (an Italian violin maker who relocated to France) from around 1740. The instrument is in great structural condition having no cracks. Recently set-up and checked by a local violin maker & restorer the instrument is ready once again to take to the stage! Of course you are welcome to come and view/try the instrument should you so wish. Naturally I will not ship the instrument but am more than happy to deliver it/meet the buyer at a mutually convenient location. Genuine reason for sale! This instrument was my violin whilst I was studying at Trinity College of Music, shortly after leaving I gave up playing but retained the instrument for sentimental reasons...but times change and the inheritance of three further violins from an uncle of mine mean that I have far more instruments than I would ever play!
