Are you after the smoothest richest tone you can get? This kit includes a standard Gold Pin ECC83S for V1, and a current balanced Gold Pin ECC83S for the phase inverter in V2. The Gold Pin tubes are a little richer and smoother sounding.
The power tubes are a premium matched pair of the JJ Electronic 5881's which are a classic 23 watt 5881 in a traditional stubby bottle. They have "Jangle" for days! Right in-between the JJ 6L6GC and the JJ 6V6S in power. If you're looking for that early-breakup "tweed" era character these are it.
Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
