1986 Alvarez 5039 ORIGINAL Acoustic Electric Guitar, MADE IN JAPAN, with rosewood sides and back with a SOLID spruce top and the original hardshell case. This is very cherry and on top of all of those top of the line features this happens to be in absolutely fantastic condition.
Like I said this has rosewood back and sides, a solid spruce top, the electronics are original and there is an original volume and an original tone control on the side of the guitar. This has all of the original parts I believe down to the nut and saddle. That looks like the original rosewood bridge to match the rosewood veneer on the headstock, and I know the tuning keys are original. I have a couple of pictures of the frets, one shows the 12th fret and you can see a great inlay there. The rest of the position markers are dots and the frets are in great shape especially for the age of the guitar and this has no buzzing whatsoever and the action is low. I also just restrung the guitar in the shop.
All electronics have been cleaned out, everything works, this is absolutely ready to go. There are a couple of very light scratches on the top that in the cloesups look like gouges, they are maybe 1 millimeter wide and no more than an inch long and I am a technician and have measured all of them. There are also some tiny spots that look like small nicks but you are going to have to really get up close and angle the guitar under a light to see them. The pickguard also has some scratching.
The sides and back are almost spotless which is pretty amazing, most of the wear seems to be pick type wear on the top. The tuning keys are all clean, plus they are the original keys, and that is the original case and the case is in fantastic shape.
