Not unusual for a prototype
The closed back is in the fashion of the Van Eps Recording Banjos.
Plays well up and down, with that same bright tone that Van Eps created.
Some finish checking, setup on Remo Renaissance head, Tuned CGDA
Banjo was purchased less than 100 mi. from Nazareth PA, Home of C.F. Martin
A.D. Grover was the inventor of many banjo accessories in that era and his name is more associated with this part of the business.
