JAWS HAND HELD FRET CLAMP REPLACEMENT PAD Please our website: moonlightluthiers [dot] com for more details.
If you use your jaws hand held fret clamp many times, the pad is probably shot. This occurs on the older version of this tool, before removable jaws were added. I don't know anything about the newer version of this tool. Pad may be better, may be not. On the older tool, you may notice the clamp is denting the back of the neck because the pad is now too thin. This is especially true for mahogany.
So, we are selling jaws replacement pads. This includes enough pad material to make two pads. Our replacement is thicker and more dense.
Installation is easy. Rip out the old pad, scrape off all old adhesive, adhere the pad with thick or gel CA glue (minimal) and clamp the tool on something curved, like an old broken neck to force the new pad into the metal jaw.
