About This Listing

This guitar is an extremely rare and one of a kind Moonstone acoustic. It is a "one off" model, and it is the only one ever made by master luthier Steve Helgeson.  In place of the traditional sound hole, the upper bout is opened up, with the internal guitar body acting like an  Altec-Lansing "Voice of the Theater" speaker. The body sides, and carved back are crafted from gorgeous Koa , with a carved spruce top .
This fine instrument plays very nicely and has just been set up, documented, and adjusted by master tech Frank Trobridge this week. (}. I also have a documented appraisal by Joe Spann at Gruhn Guitar with a valuation at $4000 USD. It has the customary wear and checking for a  lightly played 36 year old  guitar, and has been carefully stored in  a high-end Cedar Creek alligator skin case. The case has plush green velvet lining and 5 buckles for security.
I have  had  a  Lyric acoustic bridge plate microphone installed, which sounds great through my board (see soundcloud link). But the true joy of this fine instrument is it's form, uniqueness, craftsmanship, and overall beauty.   It is authentic, and the only one like it that has ever been made by one of the best in the business; Steve Helgeson of Moonstone Guitars.
