J style basses are tremendously comfortable to play, and have a great natural growl to them. But if you've ever found yourself wanting a J that has more bottom end to hold up better in the mix, but you don't want to sacrifice growl and that classic playability, the VC-J is for you. Our passive pickup model features Rainville Audio's Signature J pickups. The pickups are coupled to a hard ash body sporting a beautiful open pore stain finish, and an all-bubinga neck. Like all our basses, the VC-J comes with an EMG BTC Control 2-band EQ for outstanding tone control, though in our VC-J models the BTC is powered by a full 18 volts of battery power for expanded headroom.
