A great example of the 4/4 Daryl Smith Kalison tubas. The horn is "technically" a 4/4 size horn, but I almost feel as though it's closer to 5/4. I've played the horn since my freshman year of college and it has served me very well but at this moment I'm looking to upgrade to something a little bit larger. The horn has very good intonation across all ranges of the instrument and blends well in any setting I've ever thrown it into, from classical to contemporary quartet music. It has the usual first valve intonation quirks that come with almost any tuba.
