Vintage 70's Alvarez 5055 J200 Lawsuit era 17" jumbo acoustic guitar. Serial number 58578. I believe this to be a 75 or a 1978 based on the serial number. These guitars are hard to run down, so not positive of the year. Made in Japan. Spruce top, 2 piece flame maple back, flame maple sides, 3 piece maple neck, rosewood board with beautiful crown inlays, checkered binding front and back, and rosewood or possibly walnut bridge with LP style adjustable saddle. Tulip tuners. This is probably one of the best made J200 lawsuit era guitars out there. Super high quality--very well made. The guitar has been and IS a real player. It has a good many nicks, dings, and scratches. Also some board and fret wear on the first three. Very little wear on the rest of the board or frets. The pickguard has one lower corner broken off. That being said this is still one Beautiful looking vintage guitar. The neck is straight, the heel is tight to the body, the truss rod is working, and the action is very good. Huge powerful sound from this one. Overall this vintage Alvarez looks sharp, plays great, and has KILLER SOUND!!!!! No case but will pack very carefully. This is a new site for me but I have sold, packed, and shipped many hundreds of guitars on another site. You can be sure that I will pack your item carefully and ship it promptly. Thanks for looking!!!!!
