The Aria Pro II Elite-II is known as one of the best Japanese basses to ever come out of the Matsumoku factory. Favoured by bass legends including Cliff Burton, Jack Bruce and John Taylor, the Elite II was one of the highest end instruments in the 1984 catalog (although this one was made in 1983, making it a very early example). Alder body with a smooth maple transmit neck (and heel-less cutaway) and a rosewood 24 fret fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays. Weighs just under 4.7kg's.
Electronic loadout features a pair of concentric volume/tone pots, rotary pickup selector and a pair of dual sound switches.
Great cosmetic condition with a rare Phantom Blue finish, has a couple small dings here and there. Plays smooth with a nice straight neck and plenty of fretlife. This could be one of the best Elite II's to hit the market in years!
