This guitar has an interesting story to it. This is a Jackson Randy Rhoads "First Five" 30th Anniversary Custom Shop made in 2010 in the USA. The name "First Five" comes from the first five guitars Grover Jackson and Randy Rhoads planned to make. The first guitar was the White Concorde, the second guitar was a Black Rhoads V with gold hardware. This design was supposed to be the third guitar. Unfortunately Randy passed away before he got it. So once the original one was finished it went to Vinnie Vincent of KISS who was supposed to be the next big thing. So for Jackson's 30th Anniversary they made 30 of these guitars, and this one is the 1st one made of those 30. As you can see in the picture, there finish over Mike Shannon's signature is cracked. The previous owner of this guitar superglued the Allen wrench holder to the back of the headstock. So when I went to remove it it took off some of the finish. Now, the previous owner of this guitar was Mark Slaughter, and to my understanding he got it directly from Jackson in 2011. I got it in 2015 from a local guitar shop in Nashville and they told me Mark sold it because it was too hard to travel with, as the case cannot fit in an overhead bin of an airplane. This guitars has some minor finish issues on the horns of the V as this was a guitar that Mark toured with (all are photographed). I do not have any of the paper work for it, as it did not come with it. I don't believe the case that I received it with is the original case either. Nonetheless it's a great case. This guitar sounds and plays great. The block on the Floyd has been upgraded to an FU Tone block, the original is still in the case. YES, all the hardware is supposed to be different colors. Other than the FU Tone block it is completely original. This thing is loud and has that quintessential 80's hard rock sound! I really love this guitar, but just haven't been playing it much lately and I think it's time for it to go to a new home.
