Item: JBL L212 Vintage Sub/Sat 2.1 Speaker System. Circa 1977-81. Made in USA. Complete and Original.
Well, here's another amazing find that you will NOT see very often. JBL's foray into the up and coming 2.1 sub/sat speakers from the late 70's, consisting of a pair of floor-standing 8" 3-way "satellite" speakers, along with matching 12" 125 watt powered subwoofer.
Of course done in classic JBL style. Built to exacting stands to perform like no other, using the best materials and designers that were available. I would put these beauties up against any "new" speakers costing much, much more. This is the epitome of high-end, audiophile quality analog music reproduction from the stellar 70's.
Satellite features:
1 x 8" 112A mid-bass woofer.
1 x 5" LE5-9 midrange.
1 x 1" 066 aluminum dome tweeter.
Each driver in it's own sealed enclosure.
Brilliance and presence controls.
75 watt @ 8 ohms. 91db spl.
17"w x 38"h x 6"d. Weigh a solid 50 lbs. apiece.
Oiled oak wood veneer.
Subwoofer features:
12" 121A paper/foam woofer.
Cast aluminum w/vented pole piece.
125 watt built-in amp.
Sealed cabinet.

Extremely well maintained and in minty condition. Real oak wood veneer. All original drivers, cabinets, grills and badges. Only thing new are the factory-correct foam on the sub and 8" mid-bass woofers that have just been replaced. Also stripped and re-stained the cabinets and added felt pads to their bottoms. All grills are removeable.
There is one blemish on the lower back side of one speaker (pictured). Nothing major, just mentioning it in the interest of full disclosure.
They look amazing and sound like... well, they sound like classic, no-nonsense, built-to-sound-better-than-anything-else JBL's! Offering a wall-of-sound that covers the whole musical spectrum, with an accurate, wide and deep sound stage, low and tight bass and smooth midrange and highs.
