A beautiful Fender Japan YC-25H Catalina Hanako acoustic guitar in red, with original case.

Gorgeous guitar, produced in Japan in limited numbers by Terada for Fender in 1982-85. From Fender’s “California series.”

This version features wine red finish, strat headstock, walrus tusk bridge and original soft case.

Guitar is in excellent condition throughout with only very minor play wear. Only bad point is one string tree has become unthreaded. It is still present, and will be included with the guitar should you wish to fit it again. But play is not affected, so I haven’t done. 

Hardware nice and shiny, loads of life left in the frets, beck seems straight and true. Nothing to worry about with this guitar! It looks and plays beautiful, and is a great example of Fender Japan’s efforts in the early 1980s.

Spruce top, mahogany back and sides. Original pickguard "Hanako" logo still in tact (matches soft case).

(I have sent numerous guitars around the world from Japan this way, and no complaints!).
