I am thinning out my very large collection of stringed instruments (numbering nearly 200), which I began in the 1970's. This listing is for a Huber Roanoke 5-String Banjo (s/n 307-37)in excellent condition. It has the Huber Vintage Flat Head tone ring and railroad spikes are installed at frets 7 & 9.
The Roanoke combines a lightly more ornate peghead overlay with the rich color of walnut and the simplicity of a nickel plated banjo. The striking highly-figured walnut resonator with its contrasting inlaid wood rings makes for an instrument that is as much a treat for the eyes as it is the ears. Both the straight grain walnut neck and the resonator are stained with a natural walnut finish and the neck has white/black/white binding. The neck is inlaid with the original Huber pattern.
Like all of my instruments, it has been pampered and wiped down each of the 4-5 times it has been out of the case.
