This Fender Custom Shop 1956 Roasted Stratocaster is loaded with features, and comes in at a great price. The neck is Roasted AAA Birdseye Maple and features the ever popular 10/56 soft “V” back shape, the back of the neck has also been relic'd down to the wood for a smooth worn in feel. The fretboard has been slightly flattened to a 9.5” radius and then topped off with tall skinny 6105 frets, this instrument plays with ease. The light weight Alder body has also been roasted fully simulating the drying effect of wood after some 20 years of age, and producing the tonal bliss of a vintage instrument. The pickups are hand wound Fat 60s that offer a warm saturated break up when driven, nothing brittle sounding here. If I were to spec this guitar today, it would add up to over $5k.
