All original beautiful pair of approximately 1991 Dahlquist DQ-8's these are relatively rare compared to the DQ-10 model that they are mostly known for. They have a small floor footprint (15"W x 11"D x 39"H) so they can be easily fit into many applications. These are wonderful open sounding audiophile 2 way speakers including a tuned bass port. The bass driver is designed with a rubber surround, so they don't deteriorate like a foam surrounds did on many vintage speakers, so conveniently this is not a maintenance issue with these. They were designed by Carl Marchisotto who went on to design other world class speakers. These incorporate Dahlquist's Time Aligned Phased Array design concept that they are famous for. (I am including a reprint of their sales brochure that explains) They have all original components that include Vifa of Denmark drivers. They also have sequential serial numbers. Speakers are Bi-Wire capable. Includes a set of spiked feet. They sound great and work perfectly. They have some normal bumps and scrapes here and there and a small hole in the front of one of the grill cloths (See last picture) however they show nicely and are smoke free. There is a 5:28 clip on YouTube of a set of DQ-8 speakers playing so that you can hear them if you do a search.
