About This Listing

Serial Number: 35266 Built in: Kalamazoo Gibson USA
A very rare “Clean” 1961 Doublecut Melody Maker in Sunburst. 57 years old?! It is Clean!  The original owner had this guitar since 1961 and have not made any modifications to it. There are no cracks or wood repairs, just natural relic'ing on the finish.  Frets are in good shape and the neck is straight.  Since acquiring this guitar from the original owner’s wife, the strap buttons have been replaced to the now functional Vintage Repros made by Rock N Roll Relics.  One of the original rounded strap buttons will be included in the non-original hard shell case.  The pickguard is missing one screw.  When you open the case, the guitar will bring back the Sixties mind!
