Yeah, it's pricey, but I'd buy another one any day, just for myself, if I could find it in blue. The price reflects my love for this beauty. Make an offer if you really want to. I'm gonna keep raising the price until it sells. I DO NOT really want to sell this fine instrument, but if I had to then this is what the listing would say:...
It's a DiPinto 12 String Electric guitar. Missing a string in the photos but comes with a brand new set. This guitar comes with a padded gig bag. It's actually a padded gig bag for a bass because this guitar is a bit larger due to the headstock. You already know the quality of the guitars from DiPinto. They are from New Jersey and personally inspected and okay'ed by Chris DiPinto (Google it). Only 100 percent quality instruments leave their residence. You will most likely NEVER again see a DiPinto 12 String Electric for sale, I couldn't find one anywhere else but I could be wrong.
F.A.Q. ....
So, I know you list this guitar as being in "excellent" condition,
but I'd like to "dot my i's and cross my t's" by asking some questions
that I generally ask of every seller of every guitar that I've ever
purchased:
1.) To the best of your knowledge, has this guitar and gig bag lived
in a smoke-free home all its life? Are both the guitar and gig bag free
of any "offensive" odors?
1. Yes to the best of my knowledge. I can air it out extra carefully and spray it down with Febreeze before I ship it to you if that helps.
2.) Is the feel of the back of the neck smooth-to-the-touch up and
down the neck? No dings, dents, scratches or otherwise rough spots?
Marks and scuffs on the body are fine, but the feel of the neck is very
important to me as a player...
2. It's basically an unused guitar. "Smooth to the touch" and "feel of the neck" are objective opinions. I normally play Fender 6 strings and basses, so to me it's just "different". The neck on this guitar is 1/4 inch wider than my bass!
3.) Do you find that this guitar intonates well and holds its tune good?
3. Depends on your playing style. Sure it holds it's tune, that's what all fine instruments do. If you're using cheaper strings then your results may vary. For my uses it stays in tune since all I used it for is open chords, no bar chords, solos. rarely even played it above the 5th fret. The frets are just about perfect with no visible wear.
4.) Do all of the electronics on the guitar (pickups, switches, knobs, input jack) function properly?
4. Yes. To the best of my knowledge without hooking up an oscilloscope and to the best of my hearing ability.
5.) Is the gig bag free of any defects? Everything in working order (zippers, handles, etc.)?
5. The gig bag didn't come with the guitar. I am providing a padded gig bag for a bass guitar since the headstock is larger than a 6 string. The gig bag is for shipping purposes.
I hope you find these answers useful in your decision to purchase this fine instrument.
If you have any doubts whatsoever then I would suggest you definitely PASS on this guitar.
