The Masterworks MDA70CE model is made from hand selected, AA Sitka Spruce tops, and solid, Solid East Indian Rosewood backs and sides giving it a Resonant Bright sound with deep warm bass. The Rosewood fretboard gives it a warm tone and smooth playing feel. Each component is made of natural material including real bone saddles and nut, maple and rosewood binding and purfling, ebony bridge pins and green abalone inlay. Masterworks feature a one piece mahogany neck with a 50/50 finish, Grover tuners and 12th Fret abalone inlay. The Masterworks bracing system is forward shifted with scalloped, hand finished X braces that allow these guitars to project incredibly well. There's lots of sustain and response and no matter if strummed or picked, the separation and balance across the strings is easily audible. SYS650 dual pickupThe Alvarez SYS650 was designed by B-BAND and is a dual pickup system incorporating one under saddle pickup and a transducer pickup placed under the soundboard. Either pickup can be selected or one can blend between the two to fine tune the response for lead, finger-picking or rhythm work. The system also has a fully chromatic, precision tuner with backlit LCD screen, 3-bands of rotary EQ, and a notch control that can be used to attenuate feedback or to shape the sound.
