Sunday Handwound "Woodies" Alnico 2 Scatter Wound Jazzmaster Pickups, Hand Made, Sound Clip!

These handmade pickups are the cure for a Jazzmaster with ice-pick treble in the bridge position!  Alnico 2 magnets give a blooming woody tone with great clarity and chime.

Scatter wound by hand with 42awg Plain Enamel Elektrisola wire, RWRP for hum cancelling in the middle position.

The plain enamel wire gives a bit more mid content than my Woodchime versions with heavy Formvar wire.

Very detailed and responsive, but with a little bit of bite in the bridge position.  They have nice even output level from neck to bridge.

They are wound to 8000 turns neck, 9500 bridge and these sets read ~7k3 neck/~8k9 bridge.

They are very lightly wax potted in an organic raw beeswax/paraffin blend to suppress feedback while retaining a lot of character.

Supplied with 12" vintage style 22awg Gavitt cloth covered bonded pushback wire that makes hookup a breeze.

Covers not included, but a pair can be had in white, black, or cream for $20 more including new foams and screws.  If using your own covers vintage and modern AVRI Fender, most Squier, or Mojotone covers are the way to go.  All-Parts covers fit MIJ Fender pickups and are too narrow pole spacing for all others.
