Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp modified by Mike Bendinelli at Mesa Boogie USA to Mark IIC plus plus specs. This is a rare modification that was done to the Mark IIC amps during the 80's, sometimes known as the "Hetfield" mod that was done at Mesa Boogie. Mike B added an additional C Plus Plus output as you can see int he photos, and also deep and shift push/pull knobs just like on a real IIC Plus Plus.

Originally cost me $3000 AUD which included the Preamp, the IIC Plus Plus Mod, Mesa Boogie USA Service, USA Import Duty, USA Shipping, 4 New JJ Preamp Valves (I will provide all the receipts)

This amp will cover all bases for tone- from the cleanest Fender cleans to Metallica AJFA/Black Album tone. You can't get any closer than this without spending $5K or more for a true Mark IIC++ amp. Only a handful of these IIC++ Studio Preamps are out there...

Two things I really like about this preamp is that its lightweight and portable so easy to bring to a gig, basically the same size as an Axe FX (but all anaolgue tube). Also its perfect for home recording as you can plug this preamp directly into an audio interface and record with impulse responses (no need for a poweramp or speaker cabinet connected).
