This early '90s Guild D-62 is a great looking dread and part of a family of the most highly regarded Guild dreadnoughts ever made. A similar model was also made in the mid '80s during the "Gruhn/Walker" era, but this one was a precursor to the "DV" series dreadnoughts in the '90s. Both are extremely rare and highly collectible! Full model number is D62-NT-HG. "EK" serial number.
This D-62 features all solid spruce and rosewood construction. The top has aged very nicely and boasts a thick herringbone trim and a multi ring rosette with a beautiful tortoise pickguard and ebony bridge. The mahogany neck is freshly reset and is topped with a super smooth and dark ebony fingerboard. The gold Grover tuners are in great shape too!
This D-62 is in very good condition for it's age. It does have several small dings that are hidden to the camera, a minor area of rash on the back, and 1 small spot of worn finish on the bass side of the neck. Also some small dings on the headstock overlay. Zero cracks, no finish checking or cracks either. Fresh neck reset with perfect action. Minor fretwear not inhibiting action or playability.
The guitar is set up and ready to play and includes the original hardshell case.
