Driver, and Braced Cabinet Deliver Low-End Goodness
The only thing you really need to know about the ELAC Debut
2.0 S10.2 powered subwoofer is that Andrew Jones designed it. Renowned for
devising shockingly great price-to-performance audio components, Jones
approached S10.2 in the same manner, prioritizing stellar sound and remaining
faithful to the concept of extraordinary value. Featuring a powerful 200-watt
output, custom 10-inch long-throw driver, and BASH tracking amplifier, the
notably efficient S10.2 possesses everything it needs to deliver solid,
credible low-end foundations for demanding soundtracks and music. A braced MDF
cabinet helps defeat unwanted vibrations and provide stability. And S10.2's
compact dimensions mean you can place it in nearly any part of your listening
space. An ideal way to round out a Debut 2.0 Series system, S10.2 is affordable
high-end through and through. 100% Music Direct Guaranteed.
An ELAC Staple: The BASH Amplifier
All ELAC subwoofers utilize BASH tracking amplifiers. Unlike
conventional amplifiers, BASH amplifiers track the input signal and adjust the
available supply voltage to a traditional Class AB amplifier. This makes the
amplifier incredibly efficient but also provides the on-demand power needed for
dynamic movies and music.
Braced MDF Cabinet
A horizontal brace strengthens and stiffens the cabinet,
helping minimize unwanted vibrations that can discolor music or movie content.
Low frequencies are reproduced with precision, and without overhang or
distortion.
Auto Power On/Off
The subwoofer will detect when an audio signal is being sent
to the amplifier and will power on. To conserve energy, the subwoofer will
power off after a long period of inactivity.
