Fresh in the shop; Ovation Viper from the late '70's.
Plays great right out of the case. Nice set-up on it currently.
Plugged in, it has quite an interesting sound. Very versatile; Fat & warm, but still plenty of punchy midrange and a considerable amount of twang to it. Country licks & chicken pickin' sound especially good on the bridge middle position setting.
The guitar has seen its fair share of playin' & giggin' in its time. A fair amount of tiny scratches here & there, the worst of the light/faint scratching is on the back of the body.
A small amount of finish has chipped away on the edge of the neck right on the second fret (pictured above), but that's the worst injury on this guy.
Other than that, it's in great shape and ready for 40+ more years of playing.
Comes with its original Ovation hardshell case (pictured).
