Mike Christian Piezo Strat Bridge Pickup, Acoustic Sound, NOS, Active Electronics

At the THD factory, we are going through our pickup box and cleaning house a bit, so there are a lot of interesting pickups coming for sale. Keep an eye on our listings.

Up for sale is a full set of Mike Christian Piezo Strat Bridge elements, Model ST1, complete with the onboard active electronics, the Implant model, which are designed and made by Bartolini. It includes everything needed for a full installation, with full detailed instructions. The only thing you will need to supply is a fresh 9-volt battery. They give a very good acoustic guitar sound from a standard Strat-style electric guitar.

This is the set spaced for a vintage Strat bridge. We got them to develop a new preamp for this type of piezo, but never got around to starting that project, so we never ended up installing the pickups or the electronics. It has sat in our pickup box for at least 20 years, and it’s time to find it a new home, I think.

The packages have only ever been opened to photograph the contents.

It will be packed very carefully, with lots of protective bubble wrap, in an oversized box.

This pickup comes with a 48-hour approval period. If, within the 48-hour period, you decide that they are not for you, simply return then to me in the same condition as I sent it out, with full insurance, and I will refund your purchase price, minus shipping to you and a 10% restocking fee. Buyer pays return shipping.
