1930’s Maurer ( Larson Bros.) parlor guitar. Restored. The Brazilian rosewood back and sides had numerous cracks, as did the solid spruce top (Z braced) and the neck heel. All the cracks have been repaired and cleated where necessary, loose bracing re-glued, the bridge re-set and the neck re-set. All the bracing is solid and tight and the top is nearly flat with some minor amount of belly and some slight warping around the sound hole. All the repairs were done with hot hide glue except the bridge re-set, which was done with Titebond. The original frets have been leveled and dressed.There is ample height left on the frets until just before the 12th fret where they get a bit low but still fret cleanly. The solid mahogany neck, with radiused ebony fretboard, is straight and the action is 1/8” at the 12th fret. The guitar has many nicks, dings, scratches and finish wear. There are some areas of lacquer touch-up on the back, side and top.The guitar plays easily and buzz free with a lovely warm and clear tone - and excellent intonation. It's strung with D'Addario Custom Light Phosphor Bronze strings. Please see the link below to the youtube video. It comes with a vintage Geib case in fair condition with all the clasps working. The guitar will be packed safely with care. Lower bout-12”, upper bout -9”, nut width - 1 7/8” scale length. 23 7/8, depth at the butt — 3 3/4” and overall length- 36 1/2”. Thanks for looking.
