Conn Silver 40K 4-Valve Sousaphone

Conn 40K silver plated 4-valve BBb Sousaphone.

This horn is a great player!  With a 24" bell, this Conn produces a clear sound with plenty of bass. The 4th valve give easy access to the low register. The valves work fast with a light stroke.  All water keys drain well. All slides move freely. The  pearl inlays on the bottom valve caps are a touch of the old world craftsmanship that went into the Conn's of this vintage. Some repair work had been done. The only non-original parts on this horn are; 
one bell-screw plate, one gooseneck brace, the tuning bits and one of the largebody guards is missing.  

I've been playing this horn for about 5 years. Audiences and fellow musicians really love this horn......it sounds great and is an eye-full... no mouthpiece, no case, I can ship via Greyhond or local pick-up is fine, or we can meet at a reasonable location for the sale. The horn is located in the Chicago area.
