Bedrock BC-75 2x12 combo in extremely limited, factory special order Fawn Tolex - Excellent condition with very minor wear for its age.
SN: 92-267: 267th Bedrock amp made in 1992 (first year of production of the BC-75)
This one is super clean. I'm the second owner and have owned it since the late 1990s. It's been kept in my home studio exclusively since then. I have the original receipts, manual, flyer, and schematics YES, I have the schematics for it. It even comes with a custom footswitch that enables all switchable functions on the amp.
Bedrocks are rare amps that were hand-made in New Hampshire during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Bedrock was a boutique amp at the dawn of boutique amps. They were played by the likes of Joe Perry and Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. Rod Stewart's lead guitarist is still touring with a pair of Bedrock combos.
The BC-75s are among the very rarest Bredrock amps with less than 500 ever made before a cease and desist threat from the then owners of Vox trademarks. The Fawn covering was a factory special order option and only a handful (less than 50) were ever made. The amp for sale is a 1st year production for the BC-75 and is hand-wired, PTP flying lead, with turret board construction and is EL-34 powered @ 75 watts.
Tone wise the amp has a clean tone very similar to a Brownface Fender or Gibson GA series. The drive tone is very Marshall Plexi / Vox AC50. The lead boost sounds like a Marshall JCM 800 with a bit less metal gain at the top. The lead boost is not as mid-focused as Mesa / Boogie but has the drive of the JCM before the Nu-Metal era. Frankly, it sounds like late 80s Aerosmith (which is what it is).
This is an early serial number, point to point, hand wired Bedrock with turret board & flying lead construction rather than the later circuit board amps that so tarnished the Bedrock reputation. It has been running rock-solid since 1992 with ZERO issues. If you have seen the BC-75 photos on the Bedrock forum they are of this amp.
